AFGRI Farmer Development (AFD) invites suitable candidates to apply for the 2025 Learnership Programme.
The successful candidates will be placed at our Vasfontein Farm in Pretoria North.
This is a twelve (12) month Learnership Programme aimed at facilitating the training of successful learners in Farming with Crops and Animals. Whilst the programme is not exclusively limited to individuals from previously disadvantaged communities, AFGRI Farmer Development encourages historically disadvantaged individuals to apply. Successful candidates shall undergo on-the-job and off-the-job training at our training farm. The Learners will enter into a contract with AFD and be placed at our Vastfontein Training Farm in Pretoria North for the duration of the learnership. Learners will have an opportunity to gain all-round work experience by fulfilling various duties and responsibilities aligned with the programme on the farm. They will work with a cross-functional team to complete the programme and contribute to project work in support of the teams.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a South African citizen.
- Must have a Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- Preference will be given to women and people with disability.
- Must be unemployed.
DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME
Successful candidates will enter into a twelve (12) month fixed-term contract with AFGRI Farmer Development and be placed at our Vasfontein Farm, for the duration of the programme.
